Who’s Rev?

“Hey friends” is definitely how I’ll greet you each time we get the opportunity to connect! Since that’s what we are now, friends. If you have not figured it out yet, my name is not actually “Rev”. That would have been way too cool if that was actually true. I was born in Garfield Heights Ohio, up near Cleveland, where I lived with my mother and grandmother. Ryan was the name they gave me, but “Rev” is the nickname I was given in college when all of my friends learned I was a young preacher from Cleveland. Three things you’ll learn quickly about me is that faith, fashion and photography are top priority in my life. It’s through those lenses that I have chosen to see and capture my own life. I am a preacher and worship leader and if you scroll through this page enough, you may see a few pictures of me doing just that. Another two things I also deeply value. I have no children yet, but I have a niece and a nephew who I love dearly. I am dating the greatest, and the cutest I might add, human of all time. And I live in one of the best cities ever, Home of The Football Hall of Fame, Canton, Ohio where I’ve been blessed to grow a huge family and community. I’ve been shooting for a couple years now and I can remember the first couple pictures I’d taken on my first camera, it changed how I looked at photography and creation from that moment on. It was during a rough time in my life. I’d just graduated from undergrad and was living with my brother, his wife and my nephew Corbin who I believe just turned 1, way before his sister Maya came along. Corbin was playing with pots and pans in the kitchen and I knelt down to get an adorable shot of him exploring with a pot on his head. After I looked at his little face, I felt very strongly that God was revealing something special to me. Each moment we have, is given to us through a grace that we do not deserve, but have been freely given. And each picture; from cute moments in the kitchen with your significant other, nephew or your pet, to the teary eyed smile of your mom as you marry your best friend, are all snapshots of God’s grace, moments we should cherish. Snapshots that make us think, that make us remember. That makes us smile. I am honored for each opportunity I get to capture snapshots of God’s grace. And I pray the time we spend together is fun and special. Let’s connect, feel free to follow me on instagram, like, comment, tag me in stuff, send me memes or fashion posts. Let’s be friends and take awesome pictures together. I’ll see you soon!

My faith community and friendships hold deep value to me. When I moved to Canton I prayed for deep, strong friendships, and I am sometimes overwhelmed at how great my people are. So as you learn more about me, and see more of the Grace I’ve been allowed to shoot, you may see some familiar faces. Please know, these people, and your moments, mean the world to me.

Faith.

You’ll never know what to expect upon meeting me. I may have on a three piece suit, I may have on my favorite pair of Adidas sweats and a t-shirt, or some jeans and my best pair of Jordan 1’s. All in all, I love to look my best and feel my best. As a result, I feel I do my best. And in each picture, I will make sure you look and feel the same. Feel free to head over to my socials so you can see more of my daily life and my favorite outfits.
